Portsmouth, RI - Beatrice Medeiros Joaquin, 86, of 26 Foxboro Avenue, Portsmouth, RI, died Sunday, March 9, 2008 at the Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Center, Fall River, MA. She was the wife of the late Mario Joaquin. Born in Fall River, MA, on July 22, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Angela Cabral Medeiros.Mrs. Joaquin was a Communicant of St. Anthonys Church. Beatrice most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by three sons Stephen Joaquin and his wife Linda of Taylorsville, NC, Mark Joaquin of Portsmouth, RI, and Kenneth Joaquin of Portsmouth, RI, a daughter Ann Connor and her husband Christopher of Tallahasee, FL, a sister Georgelina Dessert of Westport, MA, six grandchildren Erika Joaquin, David Joaquin, Wyatt Joaquin, Brad Connor, Dylan Connor, and Dana Connor, and three great grandchildren Noah Joaquin, Brandon Joaquin, and Jason Alex. She was also the sister of the late Manuel Medeiros, John Medeiros, Tony Medeiros, Jose Medeiros, Mary Raposa, Margaret Nunes, Angela Souza, and Francelina Dessert.Funeral services and burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, RI, 02906.
