Middletown, RI - Beatrice (Raposa) Silveira, 90, of 3 Silveira Drive, Middletown, RI, died Sunday, April 22, 2012 at home surrounded by her family.She was the wife of the late Joseph Dennis Silveira.Born in Fall River, MA on May 1, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Emily Raposa.Mrs. Silveira helped her husband in his business as a secretary and bookkeeper until he retired. She was a communicant of Jesus Savior Church. Mrs. Silveira loved being with her family and grandchildren.She is survived by her children, Joseph D. Silveira, Jr. and his wife Donna (Gouveia) Silveira, Richard D. Silveira, Francis D. Silveira and his wife Joanne (Jerome) Silveira all of Middletown, RI, and Phyllis M. Moniz and her husband Jeffrey of Portsmouth, RI, her brother, William Raposa of Portsmouth, RI, her sister Sarah Sebastiao of Fall River, MA, her grandchildren, Joseph D. Silveira, III and his wife Lindsey of Middletown, RI, Lisa M. Silveira of Hope, RI, Richard D. Silveira and Mary E. Silveira all of Middletown, RI, Jeffrey J. Moniz, Jr. of San Diego, CA and Timothy M. Moniz of Portsmouth, RI, and Francis D. Silveira, Jr. and his wife Danielle (Watts) Silveira of Clarksville, TN and her great granddaughter Haleigh Silveira of Clarksville, TN and great grandson James Henry Silveira of Middletown, RIShe was the sister of the late Meno Raposa, Mary Raposa, Lena Raposa and Angie Raposa and the grandmother of the late Barbara Cook Bradley.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012, from 6-8pm, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Her funeral will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012, at 8:00AM, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM, in Jesus Savior Church, Broadway and Vernon Avenue, Newport.
