Bella A. Cordeiro

Middletown, - Bella A. Alfonso Cordeiro, 90, of the Grand Islander Health Care Center Middletown, formerly of 2372 East Main Road, Portsmouth, since 1941, died Thursday, January 9, 2003 at 333 Green End Avenue Middletown, RI.She was the wife of the late Manuel Oliveiro Cordeiro. Born in Portsmouth, RI on October 13, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Mello and Rose Rezendes Alfonso.Mrs. Cordeiro was a member of the Portsmouth Senior Citizens Center, a communicant of St. Anthonys Church and also a member of the Catholic Womens Club of St. Anthonys Church. She is survived by two sons Dennis J. Cordeiro of Fall River, MA, and Raymond J. Cordeiro of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, her daughter Dolores P. Cinotti of Portsmouth, RI, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.She was the sister of the late Manuel M. Alfonso Jr., George Alfonso, Joseph Alfonso, Antone Alfonso, John Alfonso and Fannie Santos. Her funeral will be held on Monday, January 13, 2003, at 9:00AM, from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM, in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
