Bento Aguiar Portsmouth, RI - Bento Aguiar, 78, of 40 Linda Avenue, Portsmouth, RI, died Sunday, October 26, 2008 at the Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, MA. He was the husband of Florence T. Cadima Aguiar. Born in Portsmouth, RI, on November 24, 1929, he was the son of the late Roguel and Mary Viveiros Aguiar.Mr. Aguiar had worked as a master electrician for IBEW Local #99, for 25 years, retiring in 1995. He was a Veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a Communicant of St. Anthonys Church. Mr. Aguiar enjoyed traveling. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons Thomas J. Aguiar of Woonsocket, RI, and Bryan M. Aguiar of Lowell, AR, a daughter Darlene F. Wood of Benson, NC, a sister Evelyn Chapman of Portsmouth, RI, ten grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Frank Aguiar, George Aguiar, Manuel Aguiar, Tony Aguiar, Jesse Aguiar, Joseph Aguiar, Antone Aguiar, and Mary Boiani.Funeral services and burial will be private.
