Benvinda Delphina Netto

Newport, RI - Benvinda Delphina DeCosta Netto, 95, of Grand Islander Health Center, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the center.She was the wife of the late Manuel Netto. Born in Newport, RI on December 27, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Bans DeCosta.Mrs. Netto worked cleaning homes for many years. She raised animals and for 26 years Tea-Cup poodles. She was a devoted and loving wife and Aunt and loved to travel. She is survived by her sister Beatrice Esparza of Chelsea, MA, and many nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late Henry DeCosta, James DeCosta and George DeCosta.Calling hours are omitted.Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at 8:30 am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Josephs Church, Broadway and Mann Avenue, Newport.Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
