Billie A. Tedder

Newport, RI - Billie A. Chandler Tedder, 74, of 113 Kay Street, Newport, died Thursday, September 16, 2004 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.She was the wife of Retired Navy Captain James E. Tedder. Born in Albany, GA on May 28, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Myra Nell Jordan Chandler.Mrs. Tedder was a longtime employee of the Navy Exchange in Newport. She was a member of the Navy League and the Business Professional Women. Mrs. Tedder volunteered for many years at the Festival of Trees, and for the Red Cross and the Navy Relief. Besides her husband of 53 years she is survived by two sons John R. Tedder and Barry S. Tedder both of Warwick, RI, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.She was the mother of the late Myra A. Gerlak and James V. Tedder. Her burial will be private.
