Blanche Elizabeth Gladding

- Blanche Elizabeth Gladding, 91, of 41 Howland Ave. Jamestown, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at Heatherwood Nursing And Subacute Center Newport, RI. Born in Newport, RI on July 26, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin T. Gladding and the late Alma St. Clair Gladding.Mrs. Gladding worked as a registered nurse for 35years for Dr. Charles Ceppi until her retirement in 1976. She was a member of St. Matthew?s Church, ECW, Altar Guild, Newport Hospital School of Nursing -1934 and Alumni Association, Conanicut Grange and a volunteer with Jamestown Ambulance many years ago. She was preceded in death by her sister Alice St. Clair Gladding of Jamestown, RI. A Memorial Eucharist Service will be held on Saturday, June 8 at 11:00am in St. Matthew?s Episcopal Church, 87 Narragansett Ave Jamestown. Burial will be private. Donations may be made in her memory to the St. Matthew?s Episcopal Church Memorial Trust Fund 87 Narragansett Ave Jamestown, RI 02835.
