Newport, - Bradford Wilkie, 85, of 95 Kay Street Newport, died Thursday, January 23, 2003 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI. He was the companion of the late Isabel Felizberto.He was born in Tiverton, RI on January 12, 1918. Mr. Wilkie worked at the former Carriage House Nursing Home, Middletown, and operated his own catering business. He enjoyed dancing and socializing and caring for his dog, Fritza. He was a member of the Self Advocacy Group of Middletown and of the Portsmouth Multi-purpose Senior Center. He was a volunteer with the Robert Potter League for Animals. He is survived by his friends and housemates, Morris Larkin, Peter McIntosh, Christopher Layfield and Joe Walsh, all of Newport, Bill Wilson of Warren, Richard Batista of Middletown, and the support staff of Looking Upwards, Inc.His funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at 9:00AM, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM, in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway and Vernon Avenue, Newport.
