Brenda J. Mccollum

PORTSMOUTH, RI ? Brenda J. Watts McCollum, 53, of 36 Narragansett Boulevard, Portsmouth, RI, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2005, at home with her family. She was the wife of David P. McCollum. Born in Newport, RI on February 14, 1952, she was the daughter of the late George W. Watts Jr. and Irene Amaral Watts. Brenda was a graduate of Rogers High School and attended CCRIs Nursing Program. She was a nurses aid for 23 years at the Grand Islander Health Care Center in Middletown. Brenda was her parents caregiver. Besides her husband of 34 years, she is survived by her children David P. McCollum Jr., Brian J. McCollum and Jennifer I. McCollum all of Portsmouth, RI, her siblings George W. Watts and Michael J. Watts both of Newport, RI, Jeffrey W. Brant of Portsmouth, RI, and Matthew E. Watts and Kyle R. Watts both of Newport, RI, and her granddaughters Sieria McCollum and Aurora Dupont both of Portsmouth, RI. She was the sister of the late Robert J. Watts.Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at 8:00AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00AM in St. Josephs Church, Broadway And Mann Avenue, Newport. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private.Calling hours will be held on June 20, 2005, 3-7pm in the funeral home.
