Brian A. "Red Dog" Conners

Portsmouth, RI - Brian A. "Red Dog" Conners, 46, of Anthony House, Portsmouth RI, passed away at home on Saturday, May 23, 2015.Born in Pawtucket, RI on August 26, 1968, he was the son of the late Francis and Jeannine (St. Jean) Conners.Brian was an accomplished chef and artist. He received his culinary arts degree from Johnson and Wales University in Providence RI. He fed his family of friends every Thanksgiving Day at Seamens Institute Church in Newport, RI. Brian was creative in the kitchen as well as on canvas. His love of art in recent years was inspirational, meaningful and beautiful. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his son, Ethan Conners of Kingston, RI; and his brothers, Robert Conners and his wife, Colette, of Richmond, TX, and Michael Conners and his wife, Donna, of Lincoln, RI. He was the brother of the late Joanne Conners. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.In lieu of flowers, donations in Brian's memory may be made to the Newport County YMCA, 792 Valley Road, Middletown, RI 02842.
