Carol B. Waitley

Newport, - Carol Barlow Allan Waitley, 94, of John Clarke Nursing Center, formerly of 76 Broadway Newport, died Wednesday, February 5, 2003 at John Clarke Nursing Center Middletown, RI.She was the wife of the late John H. Allan and the late Edwin Waitley. Born in Newport, RI on October 3, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Martha Maud Barlow Barlow.Mrs. Waitley worked for several years at the Naval Supply Depot in Newport. She lived in Santa Monica, CA for 22 years and worked for the Veterans Administration in West Los Angles before returning to Newport in 1982. She was a member of Emmanuel Church. She is survived by her son John T. Allan of Newport, RI, two daughters Jean L. Allan of Newport, RI, and Barbara L. Williams of West Greenwich, RI, three grandson John T. Allan of Middletown, RI, James E. Allan of Middletown, RI, Gary A. Williams of West Greenwich, RI, two granddaughters Lisa A. Finneran of Coventry, RI, and Jennifer R. Fontaine of Keflavik, Iceland, two great grandchildren Caitlin T. Finneran of Coventry, RI and Connor C. Fontaine of Keflavik, Iceland. She was the mother of the late Carol G. Allan and the sister of the late Clyde Barlow, H. Cranston Barlow and Carlton N. Barlow. A Private committal will be held at the Emmanuel Church.
