Carol Susan Wilson George,63, of Jacksonville, FL, formerly of Newport, RI, died Sunday May 20, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her family and her best friend of 55 years, Elaine Hurt.Born in Savannah, GA, October 24, 1948, she grew up in Newport, RI and was the daughter of the late Reginald A. Wilson, Jr. and Patricia E. Wilson. She was a lover of animals, especially loved her beloved cats Fredo and Sweety and of course her "grand dog" Charlie. She was an avid wrestling fan and loved talking about it. She is survived by her daughter, Sonya L. Spaulding and her husband Charles, her son Gerald F. Wilson, her daughter Patricia J. Matos and her husband Samuel, and her son Everett Lee McIntire III; her grandchildren, Kayla N. Burley and her husband William, Dean C. Spaulding, Brianna W. McIntire, Samuel D. Matos and Julianna R. Wilson. She is great grandma to Hayden E. Burley. She was the sister of Lydgia L. Girard, Tanya P. Wilson and Reginald A. Wilson, III and his wife Cynthia. She was the longtime companion to Robert Wilson. She was survived by her aunts Catherine San Juan and Iantha Miller. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as many cousins. She is also survived by her former husband and friend Everett Lee McIntire, Jr. as well as many friends. Calling hours will be on Saturday May 26, 2012, from 2:00-4:00 p.m., at Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a funeral service to immediately follow at 4:00pm.
