Caroline D. (Ascher) Conway, 76, of Woolsey Road, Middletown, RI, died on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI.Born in Brooklyn, NY on August 22, 1936, she was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Pfennig) Ascher.Caroline was a school bus matron for the Town of Middletown.One of ten children, she is survived by her brothers and sisters, George Ascher, Barbara Brunotte, Joseph Ascher, Trudy Pitti, Robert Ascher, Anthony Ascher and Tina Laird; and many nieces and nephews. She was the dear friend of Barbara, Art and Alan Reed, the mother of the late Gary Conway, and the sister of the late Secilia Della Bella and Donald Ascher.Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 8 am from Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in St. Lucy Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown, RI. Burial will follow in Newport Memorial Park, Middletown, RI.Calling hours will be held today, Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm in the funeral home.
