Carolyn A. Marley Gray, 70, of 33 Gormley Avenue, Portsmouth, RI died Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at home with her family at her side.She was the wife of Robert L. Gray.Born in Newport, RI on July 30, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Frederick C. Marley, Jr. and Wealthy Rose Marley. Mrs. Gray enjoyed gardening, vacationing in Florida, the beach, and traveling.In addition to her husband of 31 years, she is survived by her children, Marilyn Manville and her husband Antone of Middletown, RI, Cindy Greenman of West Palm Beach, FL, Thomas Corey of Newport, RI, Barbara Monllos and her husband John of Newport, RI, Carolyn Satterthwaite of Virginia Beach, VA, Dwayne Corey of Exeter, RI, and Michael Corey of North Kingstown, RI; a step-daughter, Victoria Settle and her husband Thomas of Middletown, RI; a step-son, Raymond Gray and his wife Carol of Middletown, RI; her brothers, Frederick C. Marley, Jr. of Alfred, ME and Michael B. Marley of Orlando, FL; her sisters, Shirley L. Gallagher of Alfred, ME, Marian E. Corey of Middletown, RI, Donna L. Scott of Middletown, RI, Linda R. Sherman of Middletown, RI, and Joanne Boden of Waldorf, MD; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandson.She was the step-mother of the late Robert L. Gray, Jr. and sister of the late Richard Marley, Franklin A. Marley, and James E. Marley.Her funeral will be held Friday, August 1, 2008 at 8:00am from Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Lucy Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.
