Newport, RI - Catherine A. Smith, 59, of 906 Newport Green Newport, RI, died Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at home. Born in Providence, RI on November 6, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Catherine Smith.Ms. Smith worked as an assembler at AT Cross in Lincoln, RI for several years when she was younger. She was a member of the Stroke Victims Workshop in the Newport Hospital. She is survived by her daughter Sonya S. Smith of Providence, RI, her brother Charles E. Smith Jr. of Virginia, her sister Carol Santos of Newport, RI, and several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2003, at 6:00pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
