Catherine Crabb

Portsmouth, - Catherine Hickman Crabb, 53, of 100 King Charles Drive Portsmouth, RI; formerly of Montclair, VA, died Sunday, February 16, 2003 at St. Annes Hospital in Fall River, MA. She was the wife of Paul Bourke Crabb. Born in Hartford, CT on August 28, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Virginia Leonard Hickman. Mrs. Crabb was the committee chairperson for the Cub Scouts of America for Pack 11 at the Linden School in Middletown for 10 years, 1974-1984. She was also the station mistress for the Old Colony and Newport Railway from 1980-83. She was a former member of the Democratic Women of Middletown, RI. Mrs. Crabb was a 1967 graduate of the Central Catholic High School in Norwalk, CT and from the St. Marys School in Norwalk. While living in Virginia, she worked as a teller supervisor for NationsBank. She enjoyed needlepoint and traveling with her husband, staying in BBs throughout the US.Besides her husband, she is survived by her son Robert MacDonald and her daughter in law Denise MacDonald of Hartford, CT, her daughter Trisha Crabb of Portsmouth, RI, three granddaughters Amy Crabb of Portsmouth, RI , Autumn MacDonald, and Shawna Voisine of Hartford CT. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2003 at 9:00am from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00am in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
