MIDDLETOWN, RI - Catherine E. Bishop Kennedy, 44, of 4 Hickory Avenue, Middletown, RI, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2005, at home with her family. She was the wife of Earl N. Kennedy III. Born in Boston, MA on February 11, 1961, she was the daughter of Angela Chagaris Bishop of Middletown, and the late Broaddus Bishop. Cathy was a 1979 graduate of Middletown High School. She worked for many years at the Avid Corporation of Middletown as an assembler. Cathy also worked at Bishops 4th Street Diner as a waitress for many years. Besides her love for her family she also loved animals. Besides her husband of 25 years, and her mother she is survived by her loving children Joshua Kennedy and Caitlyn Kennedy both of Middletown, RI, her siblings Nicholas and Deborah Bishop of Portsmouth, RI, Eugene Bishop of Middletown, RI, Paul and Jacqueline Bishop of Washington, DC, Steven and Nancy Bishop of Newport, RI, and Barbara Ray of Middletown, RI, her mother in law Beatrice Monroe of Middletown, RI, her beloved dog Bizkit and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Joseph Kennedy who passed away in 1989 and sister in-law of the late Jack Ray. Her funeral will be held on Friday, May 20, 2005, at 9:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a funeral service at 10:00 AM in St. Spyridons Greek Orthodox Church, 390 Thames Street, Newport. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on May 19, 2005, from 4-8pm in the Memorial Funeral Home.Donations in Cathy?s name may be made to the Catherine E.
