Newport, RI - Catherine Elizabeth Sanquedolce McGuinness, 69, of 398 Bellevue Avenue, Newport, RI, died Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Newport Hospital, Newport.She was the wife of the late Thomas McGuinness, Jr. Born in Westerly, RI on June 19, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Gustance and Carmela Gulluscio Sanquedolce.Mrs. McGuinness was raised and lived most of her life in Pawcatuck, CT. She was a member of St. Michaels Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Catherine helped raise her grandchildren throughout their childhood. She loved Elvis and a good chat with friends. Cathy will be missed by her entire family. She is survived by her son Thomas L. McGuinness, III and his wife Margaret of Chesapeake, VA, a son in law Carson Awe of Newport, RI, her sisters, Angela and Camille, her grandchildren, Melissa Forcina, Patricia Awe, Thomas John McGuinness, Andrew Awe, Matthew McGuinness and Leighia Awe and her great grandchildren, Sara Elizabeth, Aidan Paul, and Anna Grace Forcina, Ivy Lynn and Kyla Jade Perry, Isaiah Thomas Rodriguez and Abbie Marie Suzanne McGuiness.She was preceded in death by her daughter Tina Marie Awe and a sister Rita.Her funeral will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2009, at 11:00am, in St. Michaels Church, 60 Liberty Street, Pawcatuck, CT.Burial will follow in St. Michaels Cemetery, 60 Liberty Street, Pawcatuck, CT...
