Catherine "Kay" Ellen Nasser

Portsmouth, RI - Catherine "Kay" E. (Riegel) Nasser of Portsmouth, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013, at the Silver Creek Nursing Home in Bristol, RIShe was the wife of John E. Nasser, Jr.Born on March 9, 1928, in Newport, RI, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Maude (Sisson) Riegel. Kay graduated from Rogers High School and worked as a retail sales clerk for many years at W.T. Grant's and J.J. Newberry's. She enjoyed reading, playing bingo, and attending concerts. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.Besides her husband of 68 years, she is survived by her children, Thomas Nasser of Tiverton, RI, John Nasser of Middletown, RI, and Nancy Lanier of Mt. Dora, FL, her brothers, Robert Riegel of Newport, RI and Herbert Riegel of Middletown, RI, seven grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren, and her dog, Jene.She was predeceased by her brothers, Milton, Harold, Raymond, Charles and William Riegel.Her funeral services will be private.
