Catherine M. Williams

Catherine M. (Peckham) Williams, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother went to be with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 10, 2015. Born on July 3, 1934, Catherine was the daughter of the late Harold and Mary G. (Perlingerio) Peckham. She leaves behind her husband of 58 years, James M. Williams, Sr., four children James M. Williams, Jr., and his wife Rachel, Susan Williams Berti and her husband Mark, Daniel Williams and Scott Williams and his wife Lucia, nine grandchildren Alyse, Karley, Nicholas, MacKenzie, Daniel, Sydney, Quincy, Luisa and Matthew, three great grandchildren Alexander, Shane and Adrianna. Catherine also leaves many nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved dearly.She is also survived by her loving sisters Elaine Bock and Elizabeth Lefebvre and was the sister of the late Robert Peckham.Catherine graduated from Rogers High School. She worked at ATT as a telephone operator and as a secretary for the Athletic Director for St. George's School. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters. Catherine loved to play tennis, bowl, knit and enjoyed cooking. She was an avid reader and played bocci. Catherine was a fan of Middletown Basketball and the Boston Red Sox. She loved the beach and spent many summers at 2nd beach with her family.Calling hours will be held Thursday evening from 4:00 - 7:00PM in the funeral home.Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 9:00AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Marys Church, Spring Street, Newport.
