She adored tennis and often volunteered for summer tennis matches at the Tennis Hall of Fame. She enjoyed Newport more than most, rushing each day to 'catch the sunset' in Newport. Strolling with her dogs Lassie or Whiskey on the War College lawn or at Fort Adams, catching a chardonnay at the Cooke House, saying hello to familiar faces or helping tourists find their way who needed a 'local' to guide them, dinner out with Walter and other friends and family - these were some of the happiest times enjoying one of the most fun and beautiful places on earth- Newport.Catherine is a former member of St. Marys Church in Newport and St. Katharine of Siena in Wayne, PA where her granddaughters currently attend school. She has most recently enjoyed her time with her daughter Allison and Allison's husband Steven and granddaughters, Cate and Lizzie in Wayne, PA but always 'missed her Newport.' Many in Newport and Wayne area called her 'the Lady in Pink' often seen wearing her favorite fuchsia pink. She definitely knew how to enjoy life!
