Middletown, RI - Catherine Virginia Bradley Benton, 89, of 303 Valley Road, Middletown, formerly of 83 Bliss Mine Road Newport, RI, died Saturday, June 19, 2004 at Grand Islander Health Care Center Middletown, RI.She was the Gold Star wife of the late Theron T. Benton. Born in Newport, RI on April 29, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Catherine Powers Bradley. Mrs. Benton worked for the former McLaughlin and Kelly Jewelers in Newport and also J.T. OConnells in Newport. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Shaffell of Middletown, RI, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.She was the sister of the late Ernest Bradley and Edward Bradley. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at 8:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00 AM in St. Josephs Church, Broadway And Mann Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
