Catherine W. Carey

Middletown, - Catherine W. Cary, 96, of Forest Farm Health Care Center Middletown, formerly of Hampton Bays, Long Island New York, died Thursday, November 25, 2004 at Forest Farm Health Care Center Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late Francis Cary. Born in Hastings- On- Hudson, NY on January 18, 1908, she was the daughter of the late John and Alice Thayer Whaley. Mrs. Cary was a teacher in the New York Elementry School system. She was a member of the New York State Teachers Association, the South Hampton Garden Club and the South Hampton Christian Science Church. She was also a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Cary lived at Aquidneck Place until a year ago. She is survived by her nieces Elizabeth Klenk of Portsmouth, RI, Ellen Alford of Watertown, MA, and Alison Comstock of Wilton, CT, her nephews Gregory Harney of Lincoln, MA, and Edward Buck of Springville, UT.She was the sister of the late Mary Buck and Eleanor Rogers.Funeral services and burial will be private.
