Cecelia Gloria Silva

Cecelia Gloria Savasta Silva, 84, of Portsmouth, RI, died Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Newport Hospital. She was the wife of Robert W. Silva of Portsmouth.Born in Providence, RI on April 22, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Mary Monti Savasta.Mrs. Silva worked for the Portsmouth School Department for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and a friend to many.She is survived by her husband Robert W. Silva of Portsmouth, RI . Two sons, Gary Silva and his wife Margie of Bristol, RI, and Gordon Silva and his wife Holly of Portsmouth, RI, and a daughter Lisa Bryant and her husband William of Portsmouth, RI, as well as two brothers William Savasta and Edward Savasta. She is also survived by six grandchildren Jacob Silva and his wife Sarah, Amanda Leff and her fianc Matt Bradford, Christopher Silva and his fianc Caitlyn Kennedy, Joshua Silva and his companion Kelly Roussel, Michelle King and her husband Michael, and Lisa Botelho and her husband Philip, as well as seven great grandchildren, Madison and Molly King, Alyssa Botelho, Andrew and Ella Silva, and Nolan and Emma Leff. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, December 13 from 5:00-8:00 in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth.Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 14, at 10:00am in Connors Funeral Home, with burial to follow in St. Marys Churchyard in Portsmouth.Memorial donations may be made to Visiting Nurse Services of Newport Bristol Counties, 1184 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871
