Charles Edwin Rogers Middletown, - Charles Edwin Rogers, 67, of Middletown, died Sunday, July 18, 2004 at Miriam Hospital Providence, RI, . Born in Little Rock, AR on Jan. 7, 1937, he was the son of the late Paris Rogers and Flora McAllister Rogers of Chicago, Il.. Mr. Rogers was a OS1 with the US Navy serving during both in the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts . He retired in 1976 with 20 years of service. After retiring from the U S Navy he worked as a warehouse Manager for Cox Cable for over 13 years until retiring in 1996. Mr. Rogers was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing whenever he got the chance. He had also earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Johnson and Wales University in the Field of Business Management. He is survived by Son Michael Rogers Middletown, RI, Son Marvin Rogers Jacksonville, FL, Son Scott Rogers Springfield, MA, Son Kyle Rogers Portsmouth, RI, Daughter Michelle Brown Jacksonville, FL, Daughter Roxanne Rogers Newport, RI, Brother Thomas Rogers Chicago, IL, Sister Evelyn Rogers Chicago, IL, Sister Elaine Rogers Chicago, IL, Eleven Grandchildren , Two Great Grandchildren . He was the Brother of the late Paris Rogers. His funeral will be held in the Hambly Funeral Home Brick House, 30 Red Cross Avenue, Newport on Thursday July 22, 2004 at 2:00PM. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter on Friday July 23, 2004 at.1:00PM.
