MIDDLETOWN, RI - Charles Emerson Perry, 90, of 230 Turner Road, Middletown, RI, formerly of Newport, RI, and Boston, MA, died Thursday, October 13, 2005, at the Grand Islander Health Care Center, Middletown, RI. He was the husband of Jean Harrison Perry.Born in Boston, MA, on August 19, 1915, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Nora Ross Perry.Mr. Perry had worked as a mechanic at the George Harrison Ford Dealership for 25 years, retiring in 1977. He was a Veteran of the US Army, serving during WWII.Besides his wife of forty years, he is survived by three sons Richard Perry of Milton, FL, Arthur E. Perry of Newport, RI, and William T. Perry of Brockton, MA, a step son B. Vernon Graham III of Providence, RI, two daughters Joan P. Robinson of Middletown, RI, and Ann P. Chesser of Washington, PA, a step daughter Pamela E.G. Watson of Alma, GA, a brother Ralph W. Perry of Middletown, RI, a sister Helen P. Fahy of PA, twenty three grandchildren, two step grandsons, twenty great grandchildren, two step great granddaughters, and four great great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Robert M. Perry, and the brother of the late Arthur E. Perry and Henry G. Perry.A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at 10:00AM, in Middletown Cemetery, corner of Turner and Wyatt Roads, Middletown.Calling hours are omitted.In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Friendship Fund of the Newport Hospital, Friendship Street, Newport, RI, 02840, or to the organization of your choice.
