Charles Joseph Fay Jr

Spring Valley, CA - Charles Joseph Fay, Jr., 79, of 10770 Jamacha Road, Spring Valley, CA, formerly of Newport, RI, died Sunday, September 26, 2004 at Brighton Place Spring Valley, CA.He was the husband of the late Hester Dennett Fay. Born in Newport, RI on May 9, 1925, he was the son of the late Charles J. and Agnes M. Hughes Fay. Mr. Fay served in the United States Navy, during World War II and the Korean War. He was a salesman for All Fresh until his retirement in 1988. He is survived by three sons Dr. Michael Fay of Chula Vista, CA, Charles Joseph Fay III of Livingston, MT, and Patrick Joseph Fay of Rescue, CA, two sisters Mary Cedrone of South Yarmouth, MA, and Patricia Wilson of Methuen, MA, seven grandchildren Courtney Fay, Joshua Fay, Megan Fay, Emily Fay, Maggie Fay, Charles Joseph Fay IV and Bethany Fay, and one great grandchild. His funeral will be held on Monday, October 4, 2004, at 9:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM in St. Josephs Church, Broadway And Mann Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 222 Richmond Street, Providence, RI 02903.
