Charles Morrissey, 57, of Middletown, RI, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI.Born in Dover, NH, on December 22, 1953, he was the son of the late Thomas J. Morrissey Sr. and Lorraine Flayhan Morrissey. He is survived by his siblings Al J. Morrissey of Plymouth, MA, Michael J. Morrissey of Middletown, RI, John J. Morrissey of Pawtucket, RI, Thomas J. Morrissey III of East Taunton, MA, Toni E. Amberg of Sparta, NJ, and Catherine L. Marshall of Shrewsbury, MA and many nieces and nephews.He was the brother of the late Thomas and George Morrissey.Calling hours will be held on March 12, 2011, from 9:00-10:00AM in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. His funeral service will follow at 10:00AM in the Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
