Newport, RI - Charles Pinkos Medeiros, 72, of 16 Chapel Street #324 Newport, formerly of Portsmouth And Tiverton, died Sunday, April 25, 2004 at Heatherwood Nursing And Subacute Center Newport, RI. Born in Little Compton, RI on February 4, 1932, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Victoria Pinkos Medeiros. Mr. Medeiros grew up in Tiverton and later moved to Portsmouth. During the Korean war, he served in the Air Force as a tail gunner in a reconnaissance plane. For most of his life, he worked as a heavy equipment operator for several construction companies in the area. For a few years, he owned a boat worked the bay fishing and lobstering. He is survived by a brother Lawrence Medeiros, two sisters Helen Pereira and Rose Manchester, all of Little Compton, RI, and four children Victoria, John, Barbara and Timothy, all of Massachusetts. He was the brother of the late Louis G.
