MIDDLETOWN, RI - Charles W. Foberg, 94, of 51 Underwood Lane, Middletown, RI formerly of Pawcatuck and Stonington, CT, died Saturday, May 7, 2005 at home. He was the husband of Lillian Sherman Foberg. Born in New York City, NY on May 20, 1910, he was the son of the late Aaron and Agnes Wood Foberg. Mr. Foberg for many years had worked for area dealerships as a driver, he had also worked for Laidlaw as a Bus driver. Mr. Foberg worked for the Middletown School Department as a custodian and reliable oil company as a service representative for several years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Redmen, serving as a past Great Sachem, and also assisted with the Boy Scouts of America for many years. Besides his wife of sixty two years Lillian Sherman Foberg of Middletown, RI, he is survived by his children Ronald S. Foberg and Beth A. Foberg both of Middletown, RI, his grandsons Steven Michael Proulx of Newport, RI and Jeromy Foberg of Middletown, RI, his great grandaughter Alyssa Gatta of Newport, RI, and many nieces and nephews.Mr. Foberg was the brother of the late John Foberg, Jerry Foberg, Ray Foberg, Lonny Foberg, Ellen Foberg.
