Charlotte V. Blackburn, age 85, of Middletown died Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Grand Islander Health Care Center in Middletown, RI. Charlotte was born May 12, 1930 in Kingman, ME. She is the daughter of the late George and Vina (Brown) Cushman. She was the wife of the late William J. Blackburn. Mrs. Blackburn loved to knit, cook and spend time with her family. Later in life she enjoyed golf.She is survived by her children Bill Blackburn and his wife Marcia of Portsmouth, RI, Paul C. Blackburn and his late wife Susan of Amesbury, MA, Sheila Bush and her husband Edwin of Dillsburg, PA, Pamela King and her husband Michael of Webster, MA, Diane Schuster and her husband John of Union Bridge, MD, Elizabeth Blanchette and her husband James of Kennebunkport, ME, and Patricia Blackburn of Laurel, MD, as well as 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Cushman.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 4:00-7:00pm in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.Her funeral will be held on Friday, November 20 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.
