Chester C. Schulze

Middletown, RI - Chester C. Chet Schulze, 72, of Bayview Park, Middletown, RI, died Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Newport Hospital with his pastor and his beloved family and friends by his side.He was the husband of the late Betty J. Kimba Schulze. Born in Freetown, NY on March 7, 1938, he was the son of the late Chester H. and Margaret Wildman Schulze.Chet was the owner and operator of CBS Associations, a construction company. He was a member of Radiant Christian Church in Warren, RI and the Portsmouth Senior Center. He was a carpenter, an avid fisherman and enjoyed going to the Newport Gulls games, he loved traveling. He leaves behind his beloved, Ellie Reismann, her daughters, Danielle Lister and Tammi McCarraher; his children, Teryl Lynn Mateo, Luciann C. Schulze; Chester C. Schulze II and Daryl McClendon; his sisters, Peggy Jensen of Canton, NY and Sharron R. Gentz of Horseheads, NY; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.He was the brother of the late Juanita Teeter. Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 31, 2011 from 4-7 pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a service to follow at 7 pm.In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Radiant Christian Church, 895 Main Street, Warren, RI 02885.
