Christine Borodemos

Christine (Athens) Borodemos, 83, of Portsmouth, RI, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Gregory Borodemos.Born in Pittsfield, MA on December 15, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Athena (Soliotis) Athens, and the step-daughter of the late James Meligdes.Mrs. Borodemos enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She will be truly missed.She is survived by her children, Antonia Turner of Portsmouth, RI, Harry Borodemos and his wife Joyce of Fall River, MA, James Borodemos of Portsmouth, RI, and Athena Flowers and her husband Frank of Portsmouth, RI; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 4-7 pm in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.Funeral services and burial are private.Memorial donations may be made to St. Spyridon Church, 390 Thames Street, Newport, RI 02840.
