Cindy Boardman

"Cindy" Elizabeth C. (Simmons) Boardman passed on Wednesday evening December 5, 2012.She was the loving wife of Rev. Paul Jacob Boardman, Jr. Born on June 28, 1945, in Newport, RI, she was the daughter of the late Joseph G. and Frances G. (Leary) Simmons. Cindy and Father Paul retired and moved to Florida in October 2005. They both had founded and pastored Saint Michaels Church in Middletown, RI. Cindy had a beautiful voice, loved to sing and led the worship for ten years. She enjoyed her retirement with many golf cart rides to Spanish Springs and Lake Sumpter with PJ the Love of her life. They were so fulfilled observing the beautifully kept Villages and its incredible wildlife.Besides her husband of 47 years, she is survived by two sons, Paul Boardman III of Newport, RI and Kenneth Joseph Boardman of Seekonk, MA, her brother Michael Simmons of Tiverton, RI, her two beautiful grandchildren, Kenneth Jr. and Danielle Elizabeth Boardman and their dear mother Debbie. Calling hours will be held on, Friday, December 21, 2012, from 2-4 and 7-9, in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at St. Columba Berkeley Memorial Chapel, 55 Vaucluse Avenue, Middletown, RI. Burial will be in St. Columba Berkeley Churchyard, Middletown.
