Cynthia "Cindy" C. Diana

Ms. Cynthia (Cherubini) Diana, 78 yrs old, passed away peacefully at Heatherwood Nursing Home and Rehabilitation facility on November 30th, 2024.

Cynthia was born in Waterbury Connecticut on September 19th, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Armond F. Diana and Doris (Benson) Diana. She was also the sister of the late Armand Diana.

She graduated from Croft High School and Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury, CT with an associate's degree in accounting. She was best known for the delicious cookies that she loved baking, making fudge, and canning jellies and jams for relatives and friends. She also found it important to support and volunteer at both the Middletown and Portsmouth Senior Centers.

Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Debra Cherubini and her beloved grandchildren Nicholas and Contessa DeLeo. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Carol Diana, her niece MaryBeth (Diana) Ciarlo and her husband Joe, and their daughter Nicole, and her nephew David Diana and his wife Jill and his daughter Allison Diana.

She leaves behind her long-time companion and best friend Peter R. Smith. Additionally, she leaves behind a close family and friend Shauneen Miranda, her husband Hank and their children Connor, Rileigh and Shauneen.

A Memorial Mass will be held on January 7, 2025, at 10am in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 E Main Rd, Portsmouth RI. 

Burial will be private. 

She was greatly loved and will be missed.
