Claire E. Laflamme

Biddeford, ME - Claire Eva Dubuc Laflamme, 82, of 35 Gove Street, Biddeford, ME, died Friday, September 22, 2006 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Paul E. Laflamme.Born in Biddeford, ME on May 5, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and Eva Rouillard Dubuc.Mrs. Laflamme was the former co-owner with her late husband of Laflamme Oil Company in Biddeford, ME, for 40 years, before retiring. She was a member of the Standby Club, and the Daughters of Isabella, a founding member of La Kermesse and a former warden of Ward #2 in Biddeford, ME. Mrs. Laflamme enjoyed crafts, needlepoint, ceramics, rug hooking and wintering in Florida.She is survived by her children, Paulette N. Thibodeau and her husband Phillippe of Norwich, CT and Linda J. Laflamme and her husband Henricus ?Harry? Schmitz of Portsmouth, RI, her sister Nancy R. Mathieu of Biddeford, ME, her grandchildren, Gary C. Thibodeau of Baltic, CT and Stephanie H. E. Schmitz of Portsmouth, RI, her great grandchildren, Mason Thibodeau and Gabrielle Thibodeau and several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Walter P. Skillings. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2006, from 2-5pm in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andres Church, 73 Bacon Street, Biddeford, ME.Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 222 Richmond Street, Providence, RI 02903 or to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, 1311 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, NY 10605.
