Cliff T. Black, Jr

Newport, RI - Cliff T. Black Jr., 78, of 24 Burdick Avenue, Newport, RI, died Friday, April 3, 2009 at home.He was the husband of the late Helen Mae McFeters Black of 49 years. Born in Anderson, SC on September 24, 1930, he was the son of the late Cliff T. and Ruth Whitten Black.Mr. Black served in the United States Navy. He was the oldest of five children. Mr. Black was a school teacher for 27 years in the Fall River School systems. He is survived by his sons Robert W. Black of Statham, GA and David T. Black of Tiverton, RI, his daughter Andrea Jones of Virginia Beach, VA, his brother William Billy Black of Anderson, SC, his sisters Margaret Hill of Anderson, SC and Frances Owen of Virginia Beach, VA, three grandchildren and two great grandsons.He was the brother of the late Harold Black. His services were private.
