Concetta Connie M. Falbo Middletown, RI - Concetta M. Connie Falbo, 92, of 132 Kane Ave, Middletown, RI, formerly of Watertown, MA, died peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2008, with her family at her side at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. Born in Calabria, Italy on February 21, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Carmen and Assunta Cignali Taverna.Mrs. Falbo was a communicant of St. Lucys Church. She was an avid bowler, bingo player, and she loved to cook. She was also the Past President of the Marine Auxillary in Watertown, MA. She is survived by her children Barbara J Richards of Newport, RI, Frank E Falbo of San Antonio, TX, Ernest E. Falbo, Jr. of Quincy, MA, and Marie Dion of Middletown, RI, as well as 14 grandchildren, 20 Greatgrandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild. She is preceded in death by her 8 brothers and sisters: Domenic, Salvatore, Frank, John, Mario, and Louis Taverna, Camille Hughes, and Fay Wing.Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 8, at 9:00 am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held Tuesday, October 7 from 4:00-8:00pm in the Memorial Funeral Home.
