Connie M. ?Nana? Jennings Middletown, RI - Connie M. ?Nana? Jennings, 77, of 9 Roy Avenue, Middletown, RI, died Sunday, January 6, 2008 at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of the late Frank H. Jennings Jr. Born in Woonsocket, RI, on October 15, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Margaret Gilbert Winters.Mrs. Jennings was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great friend to all. She was active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts as a Den Mother. Mrs. Jennings had worked in the Middletown School System as a teacher?s aide. She had also been a volunteer at Forest Farm Nursing Home in Middletown and at the local soup kitchen. Mrs. Jennings was a Communicant of St. Lucys Church and a member of the Middletown Senior Citizens Center. She is survived by three sons Steven H. Jennings and his wife Elizabeth of Bristol, RI, Michael J. Jennings and his wife Pamela of Springfield, VA, and Roy A. Jennings and his wife Donna of Nashua, NH, a daughter Linda M. Dutra and her husband Martin of Middletown, RI, two brothers John G. Winters and his wife Dorothy of Somerset, MA, and Donald A. Winters and his wife Amy of Middletown, RI, a sister, Eleanor Lilley of Newport, RI, a cousin Margaret Kilmer of Middletown, RI, Nine Grandchildren, and Four Great-Grandchildren.Her funeral will be held on Friday, January 11, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2008 from 3-7 p.m. in the Memorial Funeral Home.
