PORTSMOUTH, RI - Craig J. Raposa, 25, of 1 Mill Street, Tiverton, RI, died February 3, 2012 unexpectedly. Born in Fall River, MA on March 15, 1986, he was the son of Brenda L. Raposa of Portsmouth, RI.Craig graduated from Portsmouth High school in 2004 as an all-star athlete in football and baseball. He participated in Portsmouth Marty Fine Football and while a Midget won the 1998 state championship. His love was baseball and he excelled playing first base for Portsmouths Little League. He was well known for pitching and hitting home runs which lead him to participate in several All Star games which took the team to Cooperstown. His team mates called him Tiny Tiny Tank due to his size and love of food. Craig worked at Clements market while attending high school and BCC. He enjoyed working in the dairy and grocery departments. He worked for DeCastros Landscaping helping to build the outside patio of Subways on East Main Road. Craig loved to joke around and play video games with his friends.He is survived by his brother Bryce Raposa of Fall River, MA and fiance Jessica Furtado, grandfather James F Pimental, Grandmother Lucette Pimental of Tiverton, Aunt Christine Lemelin and husband Bill of Somerset, MA, Uncle Jim Pimental and wife Wendy and their children of Westport, MA. He is survived by several great aunts, uncles, and cousins. Calling hours will be from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, February 10, 2012 in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.
