Curtis D. Edge, one of Bostons most highly regarded technology leaders, passed away on Friday, Oct. 3, 2014. Curtis was the CIO for the Christian Science Publishing Society, the Christian Science Monitor, and The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, MA. Curtis received numerous awards and was honored as one of the top 100 IT Leaders by Computer World Magazine. His early years in the computer industry were spent at NUWC and the North Carolina SuperComputing Center. Curtis loved softball and spent many years playing for several teams in the Middletown Men's Softball League, including Taylor Rental and Taylor Flynn. In more recent years, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren. But more than these high honors, Curtis was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He dedicated 36 years of his life to his wife Stacey and daughters Erin Deo, Courtney Edge Mattos, and Amanda Kent. He was the proud father-in-law to Chris Deo, Kevin Mattos, and Daniel Kent. His last 5 years were filled with love, dedication, and fun with his grandchildren, Ainsley and Curtis Kent and Ada Deo. Curtis was the brother of Chip Edge, Michael Edge, Mark Edge, Dawn Edge, and Robin Millovitsch. He was preceded in death by his brother Peter Edge, parents Robert and Betty Edge, and in-laws Frank and Georgia Mead. Curtis requested that only his family gather at his passing and to not have a service. He is so greatly loved and will be so deeply missed.
