Portsmouth, - Daleza Pinto Hammel, 83, of 24 Bourbon Street, Portsmouth, died Wednesday, December 29, 2004, at the Newport Hospital, Newport, RI.She was the wife of George ?Bill? William Hammel. Born in New Bedford, MA, on July 4, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Josepha Santos Pinto. Mrs. Hammel lived life for her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son Bradford G. Hammel of Bristol, RI, two daughters Barbara D. Bauer of Portsmouth, RI, and Sherry E. Hammel of East Falmouth, MA, a grandson Philip Bauer of Minneapolis, MN, and a great grandson Nicholas Bauer of Minneapolis, MN.
