BRISTOL, RI - Daniel Joseph Sullivan, 95, of the Rhode Island Veterans Home, Bristol, RI, formerly of Appleby Street, Newport, RI, died Sunday, October 9, 2005, at the Rhode Island Veterans Home, Bristol, RI.Born in Newport, RI, on January 12, 1910, he was the son of the late Daniel J. and Josephine Kane Sullivan.Mr. Sullivan had worked as an appliance repairman at the former Sullivans Hardware Store on Broadway, in Newport, for over 20 years, retiring in 1960. He was a Veteran of the US Army, serving during WWII in the European Theatre.He is survived by several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.He was the brother of the late William Sullivan, James Sullivan, Helen Parr, Mary Martin, Anne Millard, and Kay Doiron.Funeral services and burial will be private.
