Daniel R. Nichols

Middletown, RI ? Daniel R. Nichols, 38, of Middletown, passed away Friday, February 25, 2005 at home after a brief, courageous battle with cancer.He was the husband of Nancy Buskey Nichols. Mr. Nichols was born on September 9, 1966 in Brockport, New York. Mr. Nichols has been serving in the US Navy for the last 16 years. He was a 1985 graduate of Holley High School in Holley, NY. After graduation he joined the US Navy Reserve and continued into active duty, serving in the Persian Gulf War in 1990. Dan loved sports and was an avid NASCAR fan, hunting, and played flag football and softball on the Navy league team ?Redcom?. Besides his loving wife he is survived by four children Allisha, Dan JR., Joshua and Victoria Nichols of Middletown, RI, his father Arnold Sr. and wife Patricia Nichols, his mother Linda and husband Bruce Greene, his father in-law William Buskey Sr., his mother in-law Patricia Buskey, his grandparents Wilbert Sr. and Euretta Frasier, his brother Arnold Jr. and wife Annett Nichols, two sisters Rebecca and her husband Mark Beswick and Brenda and her husband Jon DeYoung, two stepbrothers Dean and his wife Jamie Wilkins, and Shawn and his wife Jill Greene, four brother in-laws William Jr. and his wife Wendy Buskey, Michael and his wife Debbie Buskey and Robert and Ken Buskey, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many many friends including his Navy family.A Memorial service will be held locally at a date to be announced. Burial will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery in Albion, New York. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 222 Richmond Street, Suite 200, Providence, RI 02903-4253.
