Daniel T. Martin Portsmouth, RI - Daniel T. Martin, 92, of 95 Cedar Avenue, Portsmouth, RI, died Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. He was the husband of the late Alice Garcia Martin. Born in Fall River, MA on December 14, 1915, he was the son of the late Thomas H. and Octavia Lucas Martin.Mr. Martin served in the United States Army, during World War II. He owned and operated Martin Signs, Newport, RI, from the mid 1950s to 1987. Mr. Martin was a communicant of St. Anthonys Church, a member of the Portsmouth Multi Purpose Senior Center and was also an accomplished piano player. He is survived by his friends Howard and Judith Geiger of Portsmouth, RI.He was the father of the late Daniel T. Martin. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at 9:00am, from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am, in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
