David J. Raley

Portsmouth, RI - David J. Raley, 73, of 63 Ferry Landing Circle Portsmouth, formerly of Bristol, RI, died Thursday, November 18, 2004 at home.He was the husband of Shirley R. Cooper Raley. Born in Nottingham, England, on May 21, 1931, he was the son of the late John and Marion Clarke Raley.Mr. Raley moved to the United States, from England in 1968. He worked for General Electric Company for over 25 years, including five years in Singapore retiring in 1988, after retirement with two former colleagues he formed Technology Licensing Group. Besides his wife of fifty years he is survived by two daughters Jane Raley of Beverly, MA, and Eleanor Border of Walworth, NY, two sisters Elizabeth Leaver of Nottingham England, and Christine Sawyer of Winslow, Cheshire England, and two grandchildren Evan Border and Charlotte Border both of Walworth, NY.A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2004, at 1:00PM in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth.
