David John Bushnell

Barrington, RI - David John Bushnell, 48, of 225 New Meadow Road, Barrington, RI, died Monday, July 18, 2011 at home. Born in Newport, RI on August 17, 1962, he was the son of the late Earl R. Bushnell, Jr. and Joyce Davis Bushnell.Mr. Bushnell loved competing in the Special Olympics, loved watching spider-man, loved kids, animals and attending dances at the Maher Center. David was a very friendly and lovable person who will be missed by many. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the Maher Center and Hospice/VNS of Newport Bristol Counties for making Davids passing as comfortable as he could be. He is survived by his sisters, Ruth Flis and Susan Silvia of Middletown, RI, his brother Scott Bushnell of Middletown, RI and his nieces and nephews, John E. Flis, Jr., Adam N. Flis, Tory M. Flis, Melissa Silvia, Robert Silvia, Earle Silvia and Joseph Silvia and eight great nieces and nephews.A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2011, at 2:00pm in Newport Memorial Park, Middletown.Calling hours are omitted.
