Portsmouth, RI - David P. Lucci, 42, of Portsmouth, RI, died Wednesday, January 5, 2011. Born in Providence, RI on November 15, 1968, he was the son of Aurelio and Francine Calarese Lucci.David worked for many years for his father at Promtus Communication in Portsmouth. He graduated from URI with an Electrical Engineering degree. He went on to work in Massachusetts for Boston Acoustics and Cisco Systems. Before returning to RI, he worked at Raytheon in State College, PA. David played bass guitar for several local bands, composed and recorded his own, original music, and set up a recording studio in Portsmouth. He worked as a Sound Engineer at concerts around the area. David loved the outdoors and spent much time fishing. Besides his parents, he is survived by his brothers Anthony ?Tony? Lucci of Portsmouth, RI and Peter Lucci and his wife Dr. Kristin Ellison of Cranston, RI and his sister Lisa Lucci Masse and her husband Claude of Richmond, RI. Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 10, 2011, from 9-10am at the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.His funeral will be held on Monday, January 10, 2011, departing at 10:00 am from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth.Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
