Middletown, - David B. Sweet, 88, of Middletown, died Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at John Clarke Health Care Center. He was husband of Dorothy (Mathewson) Sweet of Middletown.Born in Newport, RI, he was the son of the late William C. and Cornelia (Brooks) Sweet. Mr. Sweet was a lifelong resident of Aquidneck Island. He served in the Merchant Marines and owned and operated Dave's Burner Service for 24 years.Besides his wife he leaves a son Marc W. Sweet of Middletown, RIDavid was the father of the late Christopher D.
