Delfin D. Roque

Middletown, - Delfin D. Roque, 81, of 8 Burton Place, Middletown, died Monday, January 13, 2003 at Miriam Hospital Providence, RI.He was the husband of Emeteria Agustin Roque. Born in Nueva Ecija, Philippines, on October 12, 1921, he was the son of the late Estanislao and Emilia Dayao Roque.While living in the Philippines he worked as a salesman for the LaEestrella Co. Mr. Roque came to the United States in 1984. He went to work for Derector Shipyard in the maintenance department retiring in 1991 after 7 years. Mr. Roque was a member of PHILAM Association and St. Lucys Church. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons Roland A. Roque of Warren, RI, Dannie A. Roque of Philippines, and Ricardo A. Roque of Cranston, RI, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.He was the father of the late Paul A. Roque. His funeral will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2003, at 8:00AM, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00AM, in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown. Burial will be private.
